ABOUT US

Our Purpose

Thrive is a community group focused on suicide prevention, and supporting people to live full, contributing lives in the Upper Murray. We recognise that multiple strategies save more lives (2021, Black Dog Institute - LifeSpan model).

Our Community

Thrive is focussed on improving people's lives within the Upper Murray region, which is nestled in north-east Victoria, and the snowy mountains of southern New South Wales. The township of Corryong acts as the main meeting place for Thrive, but community members live far and wide, in the neighbouring hills and valleys.

Lifespan framework

The Black Dog Institute

Thrive uses the Black Dog Institute's Lifespan model as a foundation for all that we do. It's nine pillars work together to establish better mental health for communities as a whole.
